AI ChatGPT vs Google

Lumen Zoho CRM AI

Recently Google went into code red because of ChatGPT; in the last few years, anyone in the computer industry has seen the investment that has gone into AI and the advancement from Google, Azure, and AWS in facilitating AI platforms and the explosion of AI applications. With just a few clicks, anyone can create high-quality written content, visual (video), and audio. This is nothing short of a revolution.

Does this mean human content creation is being kicked out the door – and that AI will take over? Will Google lose its domination over the search engine because of AI? Currently, there are tools to test if the content is AI-generated or written by a human. Therefore Google will know if a human or AI writes the content. Google has introduced the concept of E-E-A-T — or “Double-E-A-T. Traditionally called E-A-T, Google uses it to evaluate the search ranking – looking at the Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness of content (E-A-T). Google’s motivation for E-E-A-T is to protect its own business and revenue or potentially safeguard content creators. This is great news for content creators as it promotes and protects them from AI competition.

With Lumen, we create all our content and have advocated to our Zoho CRM customers, in the last few years, on how to source and create original content to improve their SEO ranking by promoting original content based on Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. When AI began to emerge and gain maturity, for a moment, we thought it was all over. However, thanks to Google, we still have more time to create original content. Until Google finds a way to generate revenue from AI, content creators are safe for the time being. To all of the content creators, are we on borrowed time?
